Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers 101
Aging can bring unwanted changes to your appearance, such as sagging skin, fine lines, and a tired look. Dermal fillers offer a safe, effective, non-surgical solution to restore volume and enhance facial contours, leaving you looking rejuvenated and youthful.
As we age, the structure of our faces shifts due to loss of fat deposits, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. This can lead to sagging skin, especially around the cheeks and jawline. Dermal fillers, made from naturally occurring substances in the body, can counter these effects by adding volume, lifting the skin, and providing a refreshed look. Results typically last 1 to 2 years.

What to Expect
Your first appointment will be a consultation, where a Brichelle Med Spa provider will assess your concerns and review your medical history. It’s important to disclose any allergies or conditions that could affect your treatment. If you decide to book this treatment, you’ll be given a numbing gel for self-application 1 hour prior to the treatment time.
Three days prior and up to your treatment, avoid Motrin, ibuprofen, alcohol, turmeric, ginger, ginkgo biloba, and garlic. These are known blood thinners and could cause bruising and bleeding from the treatment.
The day of your treatment, make sure that you are hydrated and healthy. One hour prior to the appointment time, apply the numbing gel, padding it your outer lips and nearby skin areas.
Come treatment time, your provider get you comfortable and answer any questions that you may have. The filler is then injected strategically into targeted areas for optimal results. Our fillers also contain lidocaine to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
Results are often visible immediately, though you may experience some mild bruising or swelling, which should subside within a few days. Most clients return to normal activities immediately after treatment, though strenuous activity may be restricted for a day.
The longevity of the filler depends on the product used, the treatment area, and individual factors. Typically, results last from several months to two years. Repeat treatments can help maintain your desired look.
